The Celloteppich in detail
Like an endpin board or an endpin holder, the Celloteppich gives your endpin a firm footing. Unlike a board with pre-drilled holes, however, it lets you choose the endpin position freely.
Lightweight and portable
The Raabe-Celloteppich (German for “cello carpet”) is 103 cm long in total, which makes it suitable for all seating positions and endpin types. Folded, it is only 35 cm long, fits in any music bag and, at about 350 g, is very easy to carry.
Secure grip on any surface
The underside of the Raabe-Celloteppich is covered with a particularly high-quality non-slip mat. This allows use even on delicate floors. Once positioned, the Celloteppich no longer slips, and your cello does not slide away to either side. Thanks to its sturdy construction you can use it on the most varied floors, be it smooth marble, soft carpet or even a lawn outdoors.
Fits every chair
The Raabe-Celloteppich is simply fixed to the floor by a chair leg. Without any installation you are ready to play within seconds, and with a little practice one free hand is enough. You no longer need to worry about the shape of chair legs – it always fits.
Move the endpin freely
The pad for the endpin measures 10 × 10 cm. On the robust carpet you can move your cello freely and change your sitting position at any time, even while playing. It almost feels like playing without any aid at all.
Robust materials and an elegant design
The panels are made of 2 mm thick, very resilient ASA/ABS plastic and joined with nylon webbing like that used for car seat belts. The endpin rests on a durable carpet with a cross structure made of 40 % natural fibre and 60 % polyamide.
In black and anthracite the Celloteppich stays understated and is hardly noticeable on the concert stage. If you would like something more unusual, the carpet pad is also available in other colours.
Every Celloteppich is handmade.
